Dr. Stephen Franzino specializes in Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
He is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Medicine with highest distinction and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Franzino completed his Orthopedic Residency at Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Medical Center, and his Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
He joined Centennial Orthopedics and Podiatry in October 2023. Prior to that, he practiced in Los Angeles (CA), Anderson (SC)and Napa (CA) with vast experience with college, minor league, and professional sports teams.
During his fellowship, Dr. Franzino provided care for the Oakland Raiders, San Jose Sharks, San Jose SaberCats, San Francisco Giants, and USA Rugby team.
His sports medicine talents have led him to roles with the San Jose Sharks (20 years), PGA, Napa Silverado Baseball, Prolific Prep Elite Basketball Academy, Pacific Union College, Napa Valley College, San Jose Stealth Professional Lacrosse, San Jose SaberCats Arena Football League, Napa Valley Marathon, and International MotoGP.
Dr. Franzino is double boarded by the ABOS in Orthopedic Surgery as well as Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Other certifications include MAKO certified, AKO Certification, Carticel Certification, MACI Certification, LipoGems Certification, Arthrosurface Certification and Mi-Eye Certification.
His Society Memberships are extensive and include National Hockey League Team Physicians Society, American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine, American Arthroscopy North American, American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society, American College of Sports Medicine, and International Cartilage Repair Society.
